Your impact, style, persistence, and approach have been professional, constructive and productive.
Steve is one of the best consultants that I have worked with during my 18 years in the Industry.
I always felt that I accomplished something after each session.
Coaching was the primary ‘pillar’ and support in developing my plans and future direction
The speed with which I saw results was impressive.
This has exceeded my expectations. I have been responsible for retaining executive coaching for my clients, and though I have been firmly convinced of its value, I had never experienced it firsthand.
I most definitely achieved growth and learned some valuable lessons and insights about myself
Helping you Make Real and Lasting Change
Following through on your commitments, and becoming famous for doing this consistently, is the #1 requirements for a powerful and effective leader.
One of the most valuable things you can learn to do is pause. Simply take a moment and a deep breadth before:
- Committing to do something
- Responding to a request
- Switching to a new task or activity
- Reacting to harsh words or a challenge which sets you off.
Be intentional… learn to use your pauses to respond and not react automatically.
So many leaders become frozen when faced with so many "priorities" that need their attention. Here’s one thought… ask yourself- What is the one thing- just 1 – that I can make happen NOW that can begin to move the ball forward? Then DO IT!
What is the one thing you will start today?
Are you excited to be going back to work this Monday morning? If not, why not? Imagine if TGIF could have a companion- TGIM??? Imagine…
How many times have you made plans to meet with an employee, only to postpone and postpone as other more urgent issues come up? How often have you put-off having that performance review session? Do you find yourself saying "We need to sit down soon" but it somehow seems to happen? There are few leadership attributes that more consistently show-up as critical to a person’s success that this one… FOLLOWING THROUGH ON COMMITMENTS. Commitments are promises, plain and simple. When a leader consistently keeps them, he or she is seen as someone who can be counted on, who truly cares about his people, and who is mastering his priorities. This drives admiration as well as aspiration- your people want to model the same behaviors with their peers and their teams. When a leader doesn’t follow-through, he loses a little credibility each time. People begin to see the leader as unreliable, not caring, or unable to take charge of the day- letting events overtake him. What can help you keep your commitments?
